Crozet Cares Closet – Frequently Asked Questions
-
The Crozet Cares Closet is a community pantry that provides personal hygiene and household cleaning items to neighbors in need. These everyday essentials help support health, dignity, and well-being.
-
Many basic necessities like soap, shampoo, paper products, and cleaning supplies are not covered by government assistance programs. While food pantries help meet nutritional needs, these important non food items are often out of reach for families and individuals facing financial challenges.
-
The Closet grew out of conversations among local faith communities who wanted to better understand and respond to unmet needs in Crozet. In August 2022, representatives from ten churches formed the Crozet Region Interfaith Outreach Council to identify gaps in services and work together to address them.
-
The Crozet Cares Closet officially opened on July 1, 2023.
-
